Saif Fradj

STATEMENT

Saif Fradj, based in Sousse, Tunisia, is an independent poet, multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker. After studying medicine at the University of Sousse, he decided to devote himself to image-making. He experiments with mobile, analog and digital photography, video installations and cinema, exploring their potential to represent the fragility of reality in the form of pictorial and textual documents. His artistic corpus explores the notion of strangeness, borders and identity in modern life marked by neo-colonialism. His works and films have been exhibited and shown at numerous festivals and galleries around the world. He is also co-founder of the Bouma collective and the South of Ajdabya collective.
